The Church and Clergy House, Alfriston 20" x 30", Alkyd, 1990		The most visited village in the area is Alfriston, with its large church and ancient clergy house. view it
East Dean 8" x 10", Alkyd, 2000		A little closer to Eastbourne is East Dean. The old part of the village is around a green, shown here. View it
West Dean Pond • 8" x 10", Alkyd, 1988		West Dean is a tiny downland village surrounded by forest. Here I ignore the buildings and paint the pond. View it
The Long Man 18" x 24", Alkyd, 1985		Wilmington's main claim to fame is the Long Man, in the distance here. It is one of the largest representations of a human figure in the world. View it
The Seven Sisters Cliffs • 16" x 24", Alkyd, 1989		It's not far from West Dean to this much photographed, filmed and painted scene between Seaford and Eastbourne. View it
The Downs near Beachy Head • 10" x 14", Alkyd, 1980		The eastern end of the South Downs meet the sea at Beachy Head, just west of Eastbourne. View it
